Our teacher is Miss Walker and we are very lucky to also have Amanda working in our class too.

We have had a busy start to the school year. Hopefully this page can give you an insight to some of our learning this year.

In Term One, we have been learning all about Cold Lands through our World Around Us topic. We have particularly enjoyed finding out about Arctic and Antarctic Explorers. We recently learnt all about Ernest Shackleton and were particularly interested in researching more information about his most famous expedition, “Endurance”.

This term, within Literacy we will be focusing on narrative writing and explanation writing. Within grammar, we will be looking at sentence construction, punctuation, common and proper nouns, verbs and synonyms.

We have been working very hard to learn our times tables in Primary 5. Within Numeracy, we will be focusing on multiplication and division as well as developing our understanding of time, shape and space, money and length.

We are excited about all the new things that we are going to learn this year!
